Donovan Mitchell Historic 71-Point Game
On January 2, 2022, Donovan Mitchell joined the NBA record books as the seventh player in history to score at least 70 points in a game.
The only other players to score at least 71 in a game are Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, David Thompson, David Robinson, and Elgin Baylor.
"I'm extremely humbled and blessed to be in that company," said Mitchell. "I've always believed that I can be one of the best players in this league but I've got to keep working. This is a big milestone. Those guys have all won at the highest level, and that's my ultimate goal. To be there in the record books with them is truly incredible."
