SPIDACARES thanks Cleveland community
On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Donovan Mitchell’s foundation SPIDACARES hosted a special event at Shaker Heights High School as part of a series thanking the Cleveland community for supporting a historic season.
SPIDACARES provided the students with two delicious food trucks—a choice of BBQ and pizza—along with BodyArmor drinks, Adidas gear, and Cavs gear.
“The Cavalier’s 64-win season is bigger than the team. Donovan wants to recognize and celebrate the energy and dedication of the entire Cleveland community that is a crucial part of the team’s success,” said Nicole Mitchell, Executive Director of SPIDACARES. “He especially wants to thank Cleveland’s students and encourage them to work hard, pursue their dreams, and care for their community.”
Reflecting on the experience, Principal Wyatt noted, “To see an athlete of the caliber of Donovan Mitchell be willing to extend his hand with his organization in our community, for our students, that exemplifies what leadership is—the act of serving the community and representing the greater Cleveland area.”
